College Bound-Career Bound: Concepts to share with your students who aspire for a life in the arts
Clinician: Dr. Jonathan Latta
Type: Higher Education

Synopsis: In this presentation Dr. Jonathan Latta, Associate Professor of Practice at the University of the Pacific Conservatory of Music, will share concepts for teachers to guide students to a well-rounded arts experience that helps set them up for success in their future goals. We love to see our students perform music in a variety of ways, to include their endeavors in and out of the classroom. As we encourage these experiences, we can also provide guidance in the areas of time management, professionalism, entrepreneurship, and the use of technology. In building on his experience as a faculty member, first-year advisor, interim director of undergraduate admission, and professional musician, Dr. Latta will share concepts to help you support your students be successful in the college search process, admission process, and as artists in the college classroom and beyond.
