CHORAL READING SESSION 2: ELEM/MS

Julie Boehler has been teaching in Castro Valley Unified since 2016. During her tenure in Castro Valley, she has taught 4th and 5th grade choir at each of the nine elementary schools and middle school choir at both Creekside and Canyon Middle Schools. In 2023, she began teaching full time at Canyon Middle School where she teaches 2 sections of 6th grade choir, 2 sections of 7th/8th Grade Treble Choir and a section of 7th/8th Grade Tenor/Bass Choir. Her ensembles have consistently earned Superior rankings at Music in the Parks Festivals as well as “Best Overall Middle School/Junior High Choir”. Prior to teaching in Castro Valley, Julie served as the Associate Director of Contra Costa Children’s Chorus for 5 years as well as a private voice instructor. As a singer, she currently sings with 21V and has sung in other professional choirs such as the San Francisco Symphony Chorus and Cappella SF. Julie holds a Bachelor of Music Degree in Choral/Vocal Music Education as well a Bachelor of Music Degree in Vocal Performance from the Bob Cole Conservatory of Music at California State University Long Beach.
All choral reading session music will be in a digital packet on JW Pepper’s ePrint platform. NO Books are provided. Attendees are strongly encouraged to bring an iPad, tablet, or other device to use to log into the JW Pepper app and read from during the reading session.
