Come join a panel of Bay area jazz music educators in discussion about specific techniques and objectives used teaching jazz bands that enable students to play and create in a non-threatening environment.. Subjects will include- rehearsal routines, teaching jazz styles, incorporating jazz culture and history, repertoire, problem solving and the teaching of jazz improvisation as a normal part of every large group rehearsal.
