Band Reading Session

This year’s Reading Band is not to be missed. Bring your instrument, or just come and listen, to experience a wide variety of pieces selected and directed by CMEA Hall of Famer, John Burn. Pieces range from tried and true composers such as Malcolm Arnold, Robert Sheldon and Pierre La Plante, to exciting contemporary composers such as Willam Pitts, JaRod Hall and Carol Britton Chambers. A consortium, of which CMEA Bay Section is a member, commissioned Cait Nishimura’s newly completed work. We are excited to be the first to present a public reading of her beautiful new piece, “Ancestral Flyways.”
