Retention in the Modern Age

This session, hosted by the SJSU NAfME Chapter, will feature a panel of experienced music educators discussing ways to keep students engaged in the classroom daily and in the music program over multiple years. The panel will feature Jonathan Grantham (Amador Valley High School) and Scott Krijnen (Castillero Middle School). Panelists will discuss behavior changes in students as a result of technological advancements, ways teachers can combat shortening attention spans, and how to create a culture in your program that keeps students involved for years to come.
