INTO THE WILD: EXPLORING THE CREATIVE PROCESS WITH ORFF SCHULWERK

INTO THE WILD: EXPLORING THE CREATIVE PROCESS WITH ORFF SCHULWERK

Clinician(s): Mikaela Young

Step into the world of imagination where animals come alive through music, movement, and play. In this interactive session, participants will experience the Orff Schulwerk creative process—imitation, exploration, improvisation, and creation—through hands-on activities inspired by Music for Children and original animal-themed materials. Using voice, movement, percussion, Orff instruments, and props, teachers will discover how to guide students from simple beginnings to their own creative expressions. Attendees will leave with a ready-to-teach lesson plan, strategies for adapting the process across grade levels, and fresh ideas for bringing the wild into their classrooms.
