Yoga and Stretches for the Music Teacher

Yoga and Stretches for the Music Teacher

Clinician(s): Daryl Silberman

For those of us with lots or little experience with yoga, enjoy the time at the conference focusing on how to bring the practice of yoga to you and/or your students. The body awareness and discipline of yoga is akin to the discipline of playing an instrument or working with the voice. And, there is the undisputable physical benefit of teaching students basic yoga stretches and poses. Whether it’s done as a warmup, team builder, or weekly practice, yoga can be done in plain clothes during the class day to inspire and bond students, and can be indispensable as a part of your personal exercise regime. Wear some comfy clothes and be ready to try some yoga with veteran clinician Daryl Silberman (RYT200).
