Rock ‘n’ Roll High School: How a Rock Band Class Can Work in Your Program

Matt Verplaetse from Marin School of the Arts to talk about Rock Band (or as some know it “Modern Band”). I know for many educators we manage large classes and juggle many things. The idea of a rock band class can seem intimidating, especially if you do not play a “rock band instrument”. In this session we will talk about how to manage curriculum, equipment, and students. Mr. Verplaetse is going to demonstrate how to effectively utilize multiple rock groups during a single class session, create student driven classes as well as where to find resources that best fit the class format.
