Kodály Strategies for Secondary and Collegiate Choral Ensembles

Ever notice how the mention of Kodály seems to conjure up associations of elementary music education? While the bond between Kodály and the primary grades is strong to be sure, this method of instruction has much to offer the upper grades as well. In this hands-on, no-lecture session, Dr. Christian Emigh, NCAKE Advisor for Higher Education, will introduce Kodály-based exercises and rehearsal strategies that can be easily implemented with choirs in both secondary and collegiate settings. All materials will be provided for take-home use as well.
