Try Something New – Non-Classical Techniques on Stringed Instruments

This guided session will walk students through both left and right hand alternative style techniques, including chopping, ghosting, sliding, distortion, and more. The session will include some creative exploration of improvisation in the orchestral setting. Working with the musicians of the Aragon High School string program, attendees will see how these methods are introduced in a large ensemble setting.
