Bring your instrument or secondary instrument and learn some basic exercises and ways of getting students to improvise and read chord changes. We will explore different approaches to incorporating improvisation in traditional large ensembles through sharing our experiences, approaches to reading chords, and practical exercises for teaching all students the basics of improvisation.
