Synopsis: Percussionists are often a different breed of student, many times signing up for an experience quite different from what they expected. Whether they wanted to be in marching band, to play drum set, or just to hit something, the skills and musicianship demanded of concert percussionists can be very different than they anticipated. This session will show how you can build an appreciation, understanding and desire for excellence within the dynamic, engaging and challenging job of a concert percussionist.
