Synopsis: This session is based on Emma Joleen Schopler’s training with the Founder and Director of UCLArts & Healing, Ping Ho, MA, MPH. Emma will demonstrate techniques she learned at the Beat the Odds: Social and Emotional Skill Building Delivered in a Framework of Drumming. This session will integrate activities from group drumming and group counseling to build core strength such as focusing and listening, team building, leadership, expressing feelings, manager anger/stress, empathy, and gratitude.
