Synopsis: The pandemic turned our world upside down and changed everything about how we teach. As our programs come back to life, we can seize the opportunity to reimagine our classrooms and rethink the way things have always been. You may recognize Maria Ellis from her viral choral warm-up videos and Girl Conductor music education resources, but what you may not know is that her true passion is rebuilding school music programs from the ground up. This session is all about meeting students where they’re at, teaching with cultural relevance, and remixing what we’ve always done to inspire a new generation of musicians in today’s world.
